Globeducate unveils its global advisory board

The five-member board of directors includes experts in education policy, sustainability, technology and curriculum, who will inform the path of the group, which includes more than 55 schools and online programs in nine country.

The board includes former UK Secretary of State for Education Baroness Estelle Morris, renowned educator Mick Waters, computer scientist and AI researcher Nuria Oliver, global school improvement expert Trillium Hibbeln and the advisor in strategy of sustainable development and net zero Carlo Giardinetti.

“Globeducate’s newly formed Global Advisory Board will provide a forum for new ideas and for collaboration,” said Daniel Jones, education director of Globeducate, in a statement.

“The members of the Board of Directors have generously agreed to give of their time to Globeducate on a voluntary basis and will meet with us as a group twice a year and visit our schools. They are excited about the work of Globeducate and want to support our mission to empower every student to shape the world.

Globeducate CEO Luca Uva said the group, as well as the board, are “all excited to see where this latest powerful union will take us.”

“This project has been important to us for a long time,” Uva said.

“Now, in this post-Covid-19 time, we see education as central to recovery and we are delighted to work with these five leading international figures in educational leadership, policy, program design studies, technology and sustainability. “

Globeducate aims to ensure that its 28,000 students develop skills and capacities beyond the purely academic realm, with a focus on solving unprecedented social, economic and environmental challenges.

“Our teachers, advisors and partners are preparing this generation for jobs that have not yet been created, technologies that have not yet been invented and to solve problems that have not yet been anticipated”, a- he declared.
